Local charities supporting children in crisis recently receive $46,000 from WCF.

Organizations in attendance were: Curt Williams and Brandon Webb, Youth-Reach Houston; Ginny Hargrave and Liz Bear, Boys and Girls Country; Dr. Victoria Constance, Children’s Safe Harbor; Steve Wright and Mandy Stelzer, Conroe Family YMCA; Joy Southard, Healing Species Texas; John Bracken and Kelly Reffett, Montgomery County Youth Services and Shirley Grimes, Tamina Community Center.


The Woodlands, TX – Recently WCF held a Charity Breakfast on Tuesday, August 20 at Amerigo’s Grille. The event concluded with a total of $46,000 that was donated to local organizations supporting children. The organization’s in attendance included; Conroe Family YMCA, Tamina Community Center, Boy’s and Girl’s Country, Children’s Safe Harbor, Montgomery County Youth Services, Youth-Reach Houston and Healing Species.


These organizations implement various programs that support children that have experienced neglect, abuse, or may be at-risk, and in need of positive guidance and healing. Some different programs that are offered include; permanent housing, temporary housing, counseling, counseling with dogs, after school centers, and food/child nutrition programs. The need for these programs is increasingly high, and WCF is honored to contribute to such positive organizations that are dedicated to healing the hearts of children that have been subjected to neglect and/or abuse. WCF applauds these different organizations, their missions, and their team of passionate professionals, for their hard work and dedication.
